Accommodations in central Cambridge are generally within walking distance of, or a short taxi ride away from, the Conference venue. There are several accommodation options available to visitors of Cambridge, including those provided by Cambridge Colleges. Travel to Cambridge

By Train

There are frequent trains from both London Kings Cross (KGX) and London Liverpool Street (LST) to the Cambridge Train Station (CBG). There are regular trains operating from both these stations to Cambridge, with a journey time of between 45 minutes and 1 hour and 30 minutes. Cambridge is well connected with Scotland and the North of England with connections via Peterborough. It is also serviced by frequent regional services from Birmingham and the Midlands, East Anglia and the Northwest of England.

By Air

Stansted Airport (STN) is by far the easiest London airport to fly into when travelling to Cambridge. There are regular buses operated by National Express from outside the terminal building to the city centre of Cambridge. The journey time is around 45 minutes from Stansted Airport.

There is also a train station underneath Stansted Airport with regular direct trains to Cambridge Train Station. Tickets are available at National Rail, Thameslink Railway and Trainline. Tickets may also be generally purchased at train stations. Journey times take between 30 and 45 minutes.

Those flying through Heathrow Airport (LHR) may take the Heathrow Express or the London Underground to either London Kings Cross or London Liverpool Street from where trains to Cambridge depart. For more information, you may visit www.tfl.gov.uk.

There is also an hourly direct bus from London Heathrow to Cambridge, with journey times taking between 2 hours and 30 minutes, and 3 Hours. These buses are operated by National Express.

From London Luton Airport (LTN) there are a number of direct buses from outside the terminal building to Cambridge. The journey time is usually just under 2 hours and services are operated by National Express.

From London Gatwick Airport (LGW), there are a number of direct and indirect buses to Cambridge, with the journey time taking between 4 and 5 hours. Once again, services are provided by National Express.

There is also the possibility of taking the “Gatwick Express” train from Gatwick Airport to London Victoria. From there, take the London Underground to London Kings Cross and then take a train to Cambridge.

Please be sure to coordinate your bus and train schedule with your flight arrival, to avoid long connection times.

By Bus

The bus stop in the city centre of “Cambridge City Centre” is sometimes also referred to as “Cambridge Parkside”. This stop is well connected by the UK’s bus network with regular buses from all over the country being provided by:

By Car

From the South of England and from London, Cambridge is a short trip up the M11 motorway.

From the North of England and Scotland, the A1 and M1 link to the A14 dual carriageway straight to the city.

From the East and West of England the A14 again takes you to Cambridge.

Transport around Cambridge

Within Cambridge, both taxi services and Uber are readily available. Though costly, Panther Taxis can also provide transport from London airports if booked in advance.
